Mt. Asama willow (salix chaenomeloides), one of our new plants available this year, gets a jump on spring with these beautiful pink tinged catkins which emerge two-toned in dark burgundy and silver and last for several weeks. Our first crop is available in a #3 pot and stands 18" tall. Mt. Asama is zone 4 hardy which is perfect for anywhere in our area. At full maturity it will reach 8-10 feet tall and wide but can be trimmed to maintain any desired size.
